The Search Box is located at the top right of the main window.
If you already know the symbol for your chord (e.g. "Amaj7" for A Major 7th), simply type it into the Search Box and press Enter. ChordMate will immediately display the different voicings for your chord, and the name of the chord will appear at the bottom of the screen.
You can use 'b' or '!' to indicate a flat, and '#' to indicate a sharp. Thus "A#maj7" corresponds to A♯ Major 7th. After you press Enter, ChordMate will automatically replace 'b', '!' and '#' with real flat and sharp symbols; this works in all text fields that may contain accidentals.
Once you enter the chord root note, ChordMate will automatically suggest autocomplete options as you type.
A note of warning: the Search Box is case sensitive.
